Seattle,
the emerald city, provides a plethora of photographic possibilities for the
proficient photographer. In addition to having a dense downtown with many
wonderful activities (Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, Woodland Park Zoo),
the city is situated on a series of rolling hills which provide excellent views
of the city, hills, water with majestic mountains in the background.
Surrounded by the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges,
you'll find numerous hiking trails affording beautiful landscapes. If you are
willing to hike a couple of hours you'll be rewarded with pristine alpine
lakes, deep valleys and knife edged ridges.

what to do if you only have a
day
Pike Place Market and Kerry Park Viewpoint (especially
at dusk) are must shoot (and see) experiences in Seattle. If you are going to
stay in the city, after the market consider milling around downtown or visiting
one the city's parks or the Woodland Park Zoo.
If you have the time, a day trip to Paradise on Mt Rainer is definitely worth
the trip.
